East Arkansas Community College Fine Arts Center will present the Jeff
Bowling Quartet on Saturday, April 12th at 7:00 p.m. in the EACC Fine Arts
Center’s Black Box Theater.
The Jeff Bowling Quartet specializes in modern hard-driving swing music and performs original compositions, model expressions and the avant-garde drawing from Ellington, Coltrane and Lennon/McCartney. Formed in 1989 by saxophonist Jeff Bowling, the group has gone through many changes over the past decade performing as a duo, trio, quartet, quintet and more. The Jeff Bowling Quartet boasts a wide range of influences and performance histories, variously appearing with Dizzy Gillespie, Herb Ellis, Pete Fountain, Terry Holmes, Louie Bellson, Pat Metheney, Steve Reid and Bamboo Forest, and Bobby Vann and the Rockets of Rhythm.
