The Forrest City Fall Festival is back this year with lots of events including the hot air balloons! There will pony rides, a petting zoo, bouncers, train rides, a rock wall, costume contest, live music and so much more.  On the 31st from 5:30 till 7 p.m will be the balloon glow. Then on the 1st the festival will be from 2-6 p.m., hot air balloon race will start at 7 a.m. & 4 p.m., and the trunk or treat will be at 4 p.m., and at 6 p.m. there will be an outdoor family movie. Spooky Nights (now till November 1st)

Going on now till November 1st is the 2014 Spooky Nights in Shelby Farms Park. Every Friday & Saturday 7 p.m. till 10 p.m. The Haunted Trail is $10 a person and the Nocturnal Nature Hikes are $10 a family

Early Voting (October 21st- November 3rd)

Early Voting starts state wide on October 21st- November 3rd. All locations are open from 8 a.m. till 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturdays. For more information you can contact your local County Clerk's Office.

CCS Trash to Treasures Sale (November 1st)

Calvary Christian juniors and seniors will have a Trash to Treasures Sale on Saturday, November 1st, at the elementary campus from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Angel Tree (November 10th-14th)

 The Junior Auxiliary of Forrest City is sponsoring Angel Tree, this year it will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and from 4 p.m.- 6 p.m. the week of November 10th through  November 14th. It will be at the Campbell House at 305 North Forrest Street. You can donate $20 or you will be given a card with a child’s name and their needs on it. Also if you are not able to attend that week you can write to: Forrest City Junior Auxiliary- P.O. Box 1340- Forrest City, Arkansas 72336-1340, and they will mail you the information needed.

Starry Nights (November 21st till December 28th)

Starry Nights will open back up in Shelby Farms Park on November 21st and run till December 28th. For more information and to purchase tickets into the show visit www.shelbyfarmspark.org.

World AIDS Day (December 1st)

There will be a World AIDS Day on Monday, December 1st  from 5 p.m. till 9 p.m. It will be at Forrest City Civic Center. There will be food and door prizes, with the grand prize of $300. For more information call Connie Roebuck aka the Condom Lady at 870-630-1484.

CPR Classes (Forrest City)

CPR Classes Forrest City Medical Center offers community CPR classes on the second Tuesday of every month from 8 a.m. to noon. The class is held in the hospital’s in-service classroom. Sistas Support Group

Sistas, a local organization for mothers who have had a child die, meet the second Thursday of every month, at 5:30 p.m. in the in-service classroom at Forrest City Medical Center. For more information, contact Carol Baker at 870-261-3136.

Prayer Services - Fresh Annointing Ministries

Fresh Anointing Ministries Church will hold prayer services every third Sunday of the month at 7 p.m., each Tuesday and Thursday from 12-1 p.m. and the last Friday of each month at 7 p.m.

Tabitha's Clothes Closet

Tabitha’s Closet at Oak Hill Church of God is open on the first Saturday of every month form 10 a.m. to noon. Free clothing is available in all sizes for men, women, and children.

Benefit Fund

At First National Bank of Eastern Arkansas locations there is a benefit fund set up for Jarrett “Jett” Moore. It is to help with medical expenses. He was born with single ventricle defect and went through one surgery the day he was born. To donate stop by any location.
